Make history with us.Position Overview:The Associate Manager of Finance Compliance plays a critical role in supporting Campbell's SOX Compliance program within the Corporate Audit department and will report to the Finance Compliance Manager.This position will primarily be supporting the business process portion of the SOX compliance program that guides, monitors, and evaluates the design and operating effectiveness of internal control over financial reporting (ICFR). The candidate will be required to have a hands-on approach and be involved in all aspects of business process SOX activities from planning to execution. Additional responsibilities include coordination with the SOX ITGC team, finance policy management, consult management on risk related topics, support various compliance programs and assist with certain corporate audit projects. The role provides high visibility to senior management within the company.We are looking for a candidate that has a strong knowledge of SOX 404, proficient understanding of GAAP, well versed in risk assessment and identification, comfortable discussing audit deficiencies with senior management, and have a strong sense of ownership to drive remediation efforts and process enhancements. This position is located in Camden, NJ. Campbells operates a hybrid work environment with 3 days a week in the office and 2 days a week remote. Travel up to 5% may be required.ResponsibilitiesLead and execute various SOX program components, including scoping, risk assessment, control testing, workpaper review, deficiency evaluations, recommendations and remediationAssess business processes to identify key controls, risks and provide improvement recommendations to managementLead the collaboration between the business process SOX team and ITGC SOX team to ensure there is alignment on scope, testing status, and remediationManage updates to the SOX documentation including risk and control matrices, as well as process and control narrativesProvide design guidance on new controls/updates to existing controls for new/changes to business processes, system implementations, acquisitions, divestitures, and/or new accounting pronouncements, as applicableEvaluate control deficiencies, perform root cause and gap analyses, evaluate materiality impact, propose remediation action plans, and track remediation action plans to completionSupervise resources for compliance activities as well as review test work completed by internal staff and/or 3rd party audit resourcesServe as a liaison of the SOX program between external auditors, internal auditors, 3rd party audit resources, and control ownersSupport various compliance activities such as control certifications and key report certificationsHelp drive an organizational understanding of SOX and importance of strong internal controls through education and communicationManage finance policy program and work with management to ensure the policies are current and accurateContinuously improve the compliance program to become more efficient and effective through optimization and automationRequired Competencies/Skills:Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or Business AdministrationCPA with an active license in good standingMinimum of 5 years of experience, preferably with at least 1-2 years of supervisory experience in Audit or Risk at a large public accounting firmStrong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Generally Accepted Auditing Standards, SOX 404 and COSO FrameworkUnderstanding of information technology, including experience with automated business process controls and IT dependent controlsDemonstrates intellectual curiosity to delve into the business to understand the risks and challenges they face and how audit processes can effectively meet those needsEffective oral and written communication skills to effectively influence, build relationships, and resolve conflicts with various levels of management and members of the Campbell's organizationDemonstrates a continuous improvement mindset and possesses assessment and process-oriented background with ability to adapt in a dynamic environment and drive changeExhibits a proactive work style, strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize, and has a high level of attention to detailsExperiences/skills that are a plus:Experience with the Consumer-Packaged Goods IndustryExperience with financial statement auditsExperience with SAP ERP systemFamiliarity with workflow tools (e.g. AuditBoard, Blackline, ServiceNow)Familiarity with data analytics/automation tools (e.g. Power BI, Power Pivot, Power Automate)Compensation and Benefits:The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between$72,900-$117,300Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training.
