Job Summary: Responsible for Accounts Payable functions, including, but not limited to: cash requirements, cutting checks, verify funds before mailing checks to maximize cash flow, daily bank reconciliation, vendor set-up and ongoing vendor monitoring, period-end closing, petty cash, payroll balancing, sales tax, business tax payments, assistance with tax and insurance, managing company credit cards, financial reconciliation of employee benefits, managing freight income, PO verification, receiving, matching invoice we/ receiver & verifying pricing, vouchering the invoice (both inventory and non-inventory bills), edit list of vouchers, posting vouchers, consolidating vouchers & invoices, processing vendor credits, bill backs, & rebate processing, salesmen samples,. This function supports Purchasing, Sales, and Operations.Essential Duties and Requirements of the Job:Accounts Payable Functions, as described in the Job Summary aboveDevelopment of improved financial reports, including identifying trends, prioritizing actions, assigning owners, and following-throughDevelop and manage a semi-automated reporting procedure for vendor programs, allowances, bill backs, rebates, and sales samples. This also includes managing contract rebates & allowances. Return item management; Daily; to include ensuring credit is received by our vendors
keeping return / damaged areas clean, communication with warehouse.Other duties as assigned including:Support Sales as requested with development of flyers or other marketing materialOffice duties - serve as technology specialist, purchase office suppliers and other duties as necessary.Involvement with Accounts receivable. This role will include a basic understanding of AR functions.Other duties as assigned.Skills Required to Perform the Essential Duties of the Job:Organized, motivated, analytical, ambitious, self-starter, honest, ethical.Excellent communication skillsDemonstrated excellence with accounting and bookkeepingSound understanding of Atlas s operation and day to day functions.Excellent follow up skills for dealing with vendors, etc.Excellent skills in MS Windows XP, MS Office, and accounting software.Educational Requirements Needed to Perform the Duties of the Job:2-4 years Purchasing & Data analysis Experience2-4 years Accounts Payable experienceBachelors Degree in Business or related degree; masters preferred.Physical, Mental and Psychological Requirements to Perform the Essential Duties of the Job:Sound physical, mental, and psychological health.Respectfulness to supervisors, co-workers, and customers.Must maintain a neat appearance.
