Job DescriptionThe Manager, Process Team is responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction for the Process Team for OSI North America.This position will play a key role in ensuring the success of commercialization, process improvement, and improved operations performance by managing multiple projects in our dry sausage facilities.Supervises a team, has authority to hire and performance-manage a team.Leads/supervises/manages 1-5 employees.This position is a true mentorship opportunity for someone to receive world-class training in the art of manufacturing dry sausage. The expectation is that the person in this position will become a dry sausage subject matter expert for OSI.This position is tasked with looking into the details and interpreting the impact of key business drivers and detecting patterns and trends across various sources of data. The Senior Production Manager will assist in developing, updating, and continuously improving/auditing training for dry sausage manufacturing and processes.This role has the responsibility to understand and places in practice appropriate safety procedures. This responsibility is achieved through education, training, use of protective equipment (as applicable) and by following safety policies, regulations, standards, and laws.Perform other duties as assigned.Required Skills5 years of experience in related field is preferred.• Food manufacturing experience in the meat industry required; formulation/smokehouse operations/blending/stuffing experience preferred.• Strategic, analytical and conceptual problem solver.• Well organized, self-starter capable of working across an organization to accomplish desired objectives.• Aptitude for equipment operation and troubleshooting.• Ability to develop and maintain strong, effective internal customer and business partner relationships.• Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), interpersonal and influencing skills.• Must possess self-awareness and a proven track record of success.• Must be able to drive improvements in manufacturing processes.• Must be able to put new systems & procedures in place, while instilling accountability and ownership in a rapidly changing environment.• Sense of urgency and ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.• Assists with Quality Control programs to safeguard product quality.• Conducts internal audits to ensure compliance with company standards.• MS office suite advanced proficiency (Word, Excel, and OutlookBA/BS or equivalent is preferred.Work is generally performed within a business professional office environment, with standard office equipment available.Work conditions are typical of an office & plant environment.• This role requires 30%+ domestic travel.• Extreme temperatures of cold and warm along with wearing the proper PPE while work performed within a manufacturing environment.• Position requires the physical agility to perform continuous lifting up to 15 pounds, bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, stretching/reaching, use hands or fingers, talk, hear, feel objects, tools, controls and standing/walking on concrete flooring.• Position requires the physical ability to stand/walk for duration of required work hoursOSI Industries is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer that believes everyone has the right to be treated with dignity and respect.
