MML is continuously expanding, managing, and owning hotels, such as the Hotel Saint Vincent in New Orleans, with new projects in Texas, Colorado, and California currently under development. We also provide F&B consultation for the Austin Proper Hotel, overseeing three restaurants, in-room dining, and banquets throughout the property. MML owns and operates all its properties and only takes on projects that align with our vision and values.
What we are looking for:
Word of Mouth Fine Catering is seeking a Bakery Production Manager. We look forward to working with you to elevate and sustain the level of food quality, service, and professionalism in our kitchens and operations. This will be a dynamic position that requires meticulous time management, inspired baking, speed, creativity, mentorship, and organization.
What we are looking for:
- Oversee all bread production for wholesale and events
- Manage inventory and order responsibly to control cost
- Write weekly schedules that coincide with financial projections and labor goals
- Foster a positive work environment and continue to grow, build, and motivate the team
- Work with pastry and savory chefs to create new menu items that are relevant to the MML brand.
- Four years of progressive experience in high-volume food production or catering
- At least 3 years of previous high-level experience in a well-established restaurant
- Equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience considered
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with guests, staff, and management.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- This is an evening/night position. Current shifts are from 2pm-12am or 3pm-1am and are subject to changes based on operational demands. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Salary Range: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00

Exposure to extreme heat, steam, and cold present in a kitchen environment. The employee must occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities this position requires include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
