LTS is seeking a part time Prepress/Print Production Specialist to join our team in Marietta, GA(hybrid).

Job Description:

The Prepress/Print Production Specialist will play a critical role in the production and execution of vinyl-wrapped graphics. This position requires expertise in both prepress preparation and print production to ensure high-quality, print-ready files and hands-on operation of printing equipment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, with experience in preparing designs for large-format printing and managing print output with accuracy and consistency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepress File Preparation: Create and finalize print-ready files, ensuring proper resolution, color profiles, file formats, bleeds, and trims.
  • Print Production: Operate and maintain large-format printing equipment, including proofing, running test prints, and managing production workflows.
  • Quality Control: Review and verify printed output for accuracy in color, alignment, and consistency before full production runs.
  • File Management: Organize and maintain a digital archive of print files, ensuring they are easily accessible for reprints and updates.
  • Troubleshooting: Address and resolve any technical issues that arise during the print process, ensuring production stays on schedule.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the off-site design team to ensure files meet print specifications and with internal teams to meet production deadlines.
  • Material Management: Monitor inventory of printing materials (vinyl, ink, etc.) and coordinate reorders to ensure production is uninterrupted.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of the printing equipment, ensuring it is always in top working condition.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in a print production or prepress role, with expertise in large-format printing.
  • Proficiency with design software, including Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
  • Strong understanding of color theory, resolution, and file formats for printing.
  • Experience operating and troubleshooting large-format printers and related equipment.
  • High attention to detail with a commitment to quality and consistency.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills for collaboration with remote designers and internal teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with vinyl wrap printing and installation or signage graphics.
  • Knowledge of RIP software and printer-specific tools for color management and file setup.
