Director of Sales

The Director of Sales is responsible for executing the company’s sales and business strategic development plan, managing its territories, and meeting or exceeding revenue targets. This individual is responsible for overseeing the activities of and developing the Sales Managers and Household Sales Representatives and ensuring determined targets are met or exceeded. They will manage the performance of the sales team, providing mentoring and coaching as necessary. Working with our corporate marketing and customer experience teams, this individual will implement best practices to support revenue growth as well as ensure outstanding touch points with end users at every step; sales, installation, billing, and service
Specific Job Function:
- Work closely with the CWG Vice President and General Manager to ensure the mission and vision of the Company aligns with the sales strategies
- Provide quality leadership to all Sales Managers and Household Sales Representatives in a style that generates excitement, enthusiasm, and commitment to the entire team
- Lead and mentor the Sales team to perform at a high level and put action plans in place to build strong plans that correspond with business growth objectives
- Work directly with the Marketing teams to refine lead nurturing, outbound marketing, and other campaigns to support sales efforts
- Provide a hands-on approach to management/deal flow, including shadowing/running sales calls at the senior level across a wide variety of vertical markets
- Meet with the Sales Managers on a regular basis to ensure questions or issues are dealt with and the team is united in their goals
- Establish the number of Sales Reps needed for each territory and together with the Sales Managers, execute effective talent acquisition and talent management strategies
- Develop a set of daily reports in Salesforce to ensure all Sales and Marketing activities are monitored appropriately
- Leverage the Salesforce CRM to analyze key metrics such as lead flow and conversion rates and identify and implement countermeasures when below targets
- Work with other business units within Culligan Enterprise Dealer Group to cultivate lead generation
- Work with the Culligan International Regional Sales Managers to help improve Sales Reps overall results and Sales Managers performance
- Participate in strategic planning by using forward-thinking and implementing initiatives to increase sales and determine the best way to hit our target markets in each territory
- Frequent travel to branches across CWG to ensure effective support and development of the sales team

Qualifications:
- Four-year degree in Sales, Marketing, Management, or a related field is preferred
- Experience in the water treatment industry is a major plus
- 5 years of work experience in a management capacity
- Strong knowledge of in-home sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques
- Ability to examine and re-engineer operations, recognize the need for new policies, and develop and implement new strategies as it relates to sales
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, supervise, direct, and train employees including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments
- Strong problem identification, negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills including teamwork and team-building skills
- Excellent computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with departments, key business partners, and customers
- Knowledge of cost analysis, fiscal management, and budgeting technique
