A healthcare network in New York City is currently seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) for a great Staff Nurse position with their Ambulatory Surgery team in Queens.

Responsibilities:

The Staff Nurse (RN) - Operating Room Circulating Nurse will:

  • Provide perioperative nursing care to patients in the operating room of an ambulatory surgery center
  • Coordinate with surgical team to ensure a safe and efficient surgical experience for patients
  • Assist in preparing operating room equipment, instruments, and supplies
  • Maintain sterile field and adhere to infection control protocols during surgical procedures
  • Monitor patient vital signs and assist with anesthesia administration as needed
  • Document patient care activities accurately and communicate effectively with team members
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of related Nursing experience
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills
  • Patient oriented
  • Great interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Highly organized
Desired Skills:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish)
  • Experience in a periop / operating room setting
