Primary Responsibilities:
  • Formulate and execute strategies for site investigations
  • Perform geotechnical and geological evaluations
  • Direct and oversee field explorations and sample collection
  • Conduct engineering analyses and calculations
  • Develop, draft, and review proposals and reports for projects of varying scales and complexities
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration with clients and team members
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to colleagues, including technical and support staff
  • Adhere rigorously to safety protocols and standards across all projects
  • Undertake additional assignments delegated by the supervisor
Qualifications:
  • Hold a Master's degree in engineering, preferably Geotechnical or Geological (A Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field is mandatory)
  • Possess 5-10 years of experience within the engineering consulting industry
  • Successfully completed the FE Exam and eligible for the PE exam (or already a licensed PE)
  • Proficient in managing geotechnical projects involving diverse deep foundation and ground improvement systems
  • Demonstrate exceptional writing, organizational, and communication skills
  • Exhibit excellent interpersonal abilities and the capacity to engage with clients and colleagues at all levels
  • Display aptitude in critical thinking and analysis; comfortable with extended periods of sitting, standing, walking, and bending; adaptable to various weather conditions; and capable of commuting to and from project sites
  • Have 5-15 years of experience in Geotechnical engineering or a related field
  • Possess a PE license, or at least an FE license
  • Reside in proximity to one of our offices, preferably San Antonio or Austin, or be open to relocation
  • Proficient in composing comprehensive reports, persuasive proposals, and effective client communications
