As Data Management Specialist you will be responsible for the maintenance and use of data in systems at Sowell Management. The main goal is to ensure data is accurate, available, and complete to be used efficiently across our enterprise and analytic systems.

What you are responsible for:

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
  • Conducting data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights to support decision-making.
  • Preparing reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Participating in the design and optimization of business processes to enhance efficiency.
  • Assisting in the testing and validation of financial software applications.
  • Working in various financial applications to ensure cleanliness and completeness of data.
  • Performing daily tasks to ensure data flows through all systems correctly.
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure data is created and maintained appropriately.
  • Serving as a key player in the implementation or sunsetting of enterprise applications.
  • Serving as the back up role for Network Administrator. This role has an 80% focus on data and 20% on IT support for internal employees and clients.
  • As a Data and Technology team member, serving as a point of contact for supporting Advisors with user access for Sowell enterprise systems and assisting them with usage and reporting.
  • Ensuring advisors' needs are met by proactively finding and correcting data errors or inconsistencies.

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Passionate about data accuracy and usability
  • High Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and familiarity with data analysis tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive and problem-solving mindset.
    • Eagerness to learn and adapt to evolving business needs.
    • Degree in IT or related field, but not required.
