Administrative Assistant

As an Administrative Assistant at Community Health Systems, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our purpose to help people get well and live healthier by providing safe, quality healthcare, building enduring relationships with our patients, and providing value for the people and communities we serve. Required:
- A minimum of 1 year of related experience required
- Education: High school diploma
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Secretarial and Document Management: The Administrative Assistant provides secretarial support, including typing, composing, and proofreading correspondence, as well as indexing and filing documents. They compile reports from data and existing records and gather information to develop summaries as requested.
- Communication and Inquiry Handling: The role involves answering inquiries, referring callers or visitors to appropriate individuals, and maintaining strict confidentiality. The assistant communicates with the property management office to report and resolve building issues.
- Office Management and Procedures: The Administrative Assistant assists in the development and implementation of budget and operations plans. They also develop and implement office procedures related to interoffice communication, records management, and systems. Additionally, they requisition, order, and ensure the adequacy of office supplies and equipment.
- Meeting Coordination and Reporting: The assistant attends meetings as assigned, reports on actions, and performs notary public duties, including swearing in the legal team for depositions and notarizing affidavits.
- Additional Duties: The role requires the ability to perform all other duties as assigned or requested, demonstrating flexibility and responsiveness to the needs of the organization.
This is a full time, remote position at Shared Services Center - Sarasota in the Administrative Department.
