Pumpkin is looking for an assertive and results-oriented Territory Account Manager to join our team You will play a crucial role in driving Pumpkin's growth by engaging veterinary clinics through an Omni-channel approach, developing and growing the account base of your territory. Utilizing solution selling, territory management, and business development capabilities, you'll execute strategies to maximize territory sales performance. In order to exceed sales goals, you will employ an entrepreneurial mindset, strong persuasive skills, and an ability to influence clients effectively.
This will be a hybrid position, with a requirement of 2-3 days a week in the Columbus, Ohio office.
What You'll Do:
- Assume ownership of a portfolio of approximately 250-300 accounts, managing and nurturing these relationships to drive quote, policy and revenue growth
- Leverage a suite of communication tools, including video conferencing, screen sharing, and a strong phone presence, to facilitate engaging interactions with territory accounts
- Develop and implement creative account nurture programs, deepening relationships and uncovering new opportunities to meet/exceed quarterly sales goals
- Create strategic Territory Business Plans that identify high-potential growth opportunities, set measurable goals and targets, and outline specific actions and resource allocations
- Proactively manage the sales cycle, setting clear next steps, milestones, and deadlines to maintain momentum and drive accounts to successful closure
- Map the key stakeholder landscape within each assigned account, identifying decision-makers, influencers, and champions to cultivate multi-level partnerships
- 2+ years of inside sales experience, ideally in a B2B or B2B2C environment
- Previous experience engaging with prospects at all levels of the sales funnel through virtual sales calls
- Possess a strong phone presence, utilizing active listening skills and a consultative approach to have meaningful conversations
- Adaptable and comfortable navigating change, with the ability to thrive in less established or formalized environments
- Demonstrated proficiency in closing skills, with a strong focus on securing the next meeting, action, or commitment from clients
- Experience with digital and social selling tactics to continuously engage clients and build brand awareness in the market
- Resilience and persistence in the face of challenges, with a positive, optimistic attitude
- Ability to pass/obtain a Property & Casualty License within 30 days
- Willing to travel for occasional trade shows, conferences or territory visits
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Experience working in a startup environment
- Experience/Familiarity with animal health/hospital sales
- Experience with Salesforce CRM
- Active P&C license
