Blue Origin is developing the next generation launch and space vehicle manufacturing facility on Florida's Space Coast at our Orbital Launch Site Manufacturing Complex. We are in search of a Manager of Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Tooling Operations who will manage a group or engineers and technicians working with a production team to ensure the smooth operation of production tooling used for launch vehicle manufacturing and testing. The Manager will coordinate the needs of the production floor with a design and engineering team to ensure that any tooling modifications, repair or maintenance are preformed to minimize downtime and impacts to launch vehicle production and operations. The position will interface directly with vehicle production, launch systems, and other test and operational groups. The role requires strong emphasis with hands-on technical ability with direct involvement on equipment operation, trouble-shooting, and active engagement with engineering and maintenance personnel.

Responsibilities:
Management of the floor tooling support:
- Strong communication skills
- Organize and coordinate schedules
- Be in tune with on the floor production status and toolingneeds
- Prioritize work related to tooling deficiencies, concerns, andopportunities
- Permanent problem resolution focused
DesignEngineering Support:
- Understand and apply design, performance, and fabrication specifications, acceptance test procedures, and maintenance plans fortooling
- Coordinate with engineering and production control to ensure operational requirements are accurately captured in work orders
- Supportmaintenance and calibrationactivities
- Supportpreventative maintenanceplanning
- Fabricationsupport
- Support tool checkout and commissioning both onsite and atvendor locations
Manage a team of engineers and specialists to:
- Act as liaison to design team to support emergent tooling needs and modifications to existingtooling
- Define tooling requirements
- Define tooling con-ops
- Participate in designreviews
- Review tool use instructions
- Createtooling requesttickets
- Coordinate tooling issues with GSE designteam
- Participate in ProductionReadiness Reviews (PRR's)
Windchill Support:
- Identify gaps in Windchill tooling documentation and coordinate solution
- Reviewand sign off Change Notices (CN's)
Qualifications:
- Passion for our mission: Millions of people living and working in space
- Minimum of a bachelor's college degree in Business Management or Engineering such as mechanical, aerospace, electrical, structural, industrial, or manufacturing engineering; or other major requiring engineering or manufacturing core courses
- 10+ years' experience in programming, operation, assembly, commissioning, and maintenance of automated or robotic tooling or equipment
- 5+ Years managing teams in a dynamic environment
- Proficient with Controls and Automation Software (ex. Siemens TIA Portal)
- Ability to interpret and review electrical and mechanical drawings
- Experience coordinating and prioritizing work
- Familiarity manipulating models and reading drawings/schematics
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion

- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Desired:
- Openand navigate model and drawings in PTC Creo
- interpretdrawings
- Createconcepts for presentation purposes utilizing PTC Creo, AutoCAD, PowerPoint, and hand sketch
- Experience with CAD modeling and drawings in PTC Creo
- Experience with revision control and data configuration in Windchill
- Experience authoring and executing maintenance work orders
- Experience working on aerospace development programs, production lines, or field operations in both design and hands-on roles
- Experience on commercial development programs a plus
- Extremely customer focused with strong communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with teams of diverse skills across large geographic distances
- Hands on fabrication, assembly, or maintenance experience
