This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight. We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is required

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develop mechanical and structural design solutions to support GSE & Tooling projects.

  • 7+ years experience with a strong background in design/analysis/fabrication of GSE & Tooling mechanical systems (i.e. fixtures, platforms, mechanisms, launch vehicle GSE, aerospace tooling, etc).
  • Mechanical design experience using CAD (Creo/Windchill preferred), hand calculations and FEA tools (ANSYS preferred).
  • Experience designing simple and efficient tools with quick turnaround.
  • Experience designing and analyzing bolted and welded assemblies.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience designing complex tools to interface with both ground and flight hardware.
  • 1+ years direct aerospace GSE & Tooling design and analysis experience.
  • Familiarity with ASME Y14.5 Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T), and tolerance stack-up analysis.

Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis until the requisition is closed.
