BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATE
A Typical Week May Look Like This...
- Conduct in-depth research on U.S. and global companies using various sources such as rankings, third-party tools, industry publications, and news stories. Develop and implement strategies to reach specific target markets, including assisting with business development strategies and prospective client research.
- Identify new and existing corporate customers to identify corporate training needs; schedule virtual and/or face-to-face meetings through email outreach and cold calling for sales team.
- Maintain quarterly meeting goals in alignment with business needs and sales team availability. Engage with inbound certification leads to generate corporate sales opportunities and assist in driving team registration interests and sales for AFP events.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive pre-meeting reports, including initial call notes, company contact information, statistics, opportunity assessments, biographies of meeting attendees, and additional relevant findings.
- Utilize Apollo, HubSpot, and other assigned technology to accurately track lead and outreach activity; update lead, account and opportunity information. Stay current on lead generation and sales outreach best practices and apply them effectively.
- Attend meetings and conferences to prospect for new customers and new product needs. Promote AFP solutions to new audiences.
- Recent graduate with a bachelor's degree and relevant internships, experience as a college athlete or at least 5 years of business development experience. Previous experience with HubSpot and Apollo is a plus.
