Job Purpose
Business I. S. Manager is responsible for defining the vision, goals, and roadmap for the BI function in alignment with the organization's strategy and objectives, which include analysts, developers, architects, and consultants, and ensure they have the resources, training, and guidance they need to perform their tasks. Additionally, oversees the design, development, and maintenance of the BI infrastructure, such as data warehouses, data lakes, dashboards, reports, and analytics platforms.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for following all aspects of company safety rules and procedures including helping informing management of any unsafe conditions.
- Follow all working guide line instructed by the Barcel USA including the 5's protocol which is based on keeping the working areas clean and organized.
- Accomplishes manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
- Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; developing personal growth opportunities.
- Maintains work flow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
- Compliance with OSHA procedures and legislation.
- Accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.
- Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
- Provides manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data; answering questions and responding to requests.
- Creates and revises systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, and budgetary and personnel requirements; implementing change.
- Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Resolves problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions.
- Responsible for understanding the SQF system and being a back up to the company's designated SQF practitioner.
- Compliance with Food Safety and quality Standards such as SQF, FSMA, and HACCP.
- Support all new platforms or programs implemented by Grupo Bimbo that apply for Manufacturing.
- Promote the improvements that are detected in the methods implemented to ensure their evolution, adding value to the Company, as well as its systems for measuring the return of its implementations.
- Promote lean manufacturing and 5s in manufacturing area.
- Optimize production processes, that is, to eliminate waste of materials and time.
Qualifications
- Business I. S. Manager must have a Bachelor's Degree in Production or Industrial Engineer
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Power Point and Scheduler
- Must be able to conduct studies, developing and supervising programs aimed at optimizing the use of equipment, human resources, technology, materials and procedures to increase the efficiency and productivity of a company or organization
- Must be experienced in product activity control, finance, accounting analysis and material-tracking function
- Manufacturing operations are preferred
- Must also be assertive and detail-oriented
- Fluent in English
- Must be able to work independently
