Responsibilities of a Business Development Clinical Liaison at Care Initiatives:
  • Conduct onsite visits to hospitals to build relationships with hospital representatives, including Discharge Planners, Social Workers, Case Managers, and others.
  • Develop and cultivate meaningful relationships with referral sources (hospitals, LTACH, physicians, etc.) to drive engagement while promoting Care Initiatives Skilled Nursing Facilities and Care Initiatives Hospice services.
  • Provide accurate and timely onsite hospital bedside assessments of referrals for Care Initiatives' Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF).
  • Ability to utilize marketing/sales techniques in effort to generate new business.
  • Communicate with multiple patients at any given time, which makes organization and time management a critical part of the job.
  • Team Player - communicate with Care Initiatives' internal admissions team and collaborate effectively to ensure seamless transitions and coordinated care for our patients and residents.
  • Work closely with the Regional Director of Business Development to implement a senior living focused marketing plan primarily designed to meet the needs of professional referral sources and enhance community outreach efforts.

  • As part of promoting exceptional customer service and fostering community relations, this role includes opportunities to engage with current and prospective residents and their families
  • Completes marketing calls; maintains record keeping system on marketing activities, including documenting referrals in the clinical record.
  • Develops, implements, and evaluates initiatives designed to promote awareness and understanding of Care Initiatives' programs and services in accordance with applicable federal and state laws.
  • This position is 100% field based; daily travel within your regional market is required.
What it takes to become a Business Development Clinical Liaison with Care Initiatives:
  • 2-3 years of proven success in healthcare marketing, admissions, and/or sales.
  • Knowledge of CRM software for the purpose of referrals and tracking sources.
  • Foundational understanding of the healthcare admissions process, the importance of a diversified case mix index, and familiarity with insurances such as Medicare and Medicaid are crucial for success in this role.
  • Experience working in a Long Term Care Facility, hospital, healthcare facility, assisted/independent living, or similar medical setting is highly preferred.
  • An understanding of the continuum of care and the admissions process, highly preferred. Yes
  • Having a clinical background, such as prior experience as a CNA or LPN within the senior living industry, is an asset.
  • Must demonstrate exceptional communication and customer service skills, coupled with strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Must have the ability to travel extensively within assigned market (Central Iowa).
