Objective

The QA Inspector I uses blueprints and testing instructions to ensure accurate and functional assembly.

Essential Functions: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Performs inspections in accordance with written procedures, engineering drawing and specifications
  • Implements assigned corrective actions and NCMRs
  • Uses conventional and advanced inspection devices to verify dimensions
  • Documents results to Quality Management by entering information in the CRM Database
  • Provides technical quality support to Manufacturing/Engineering/Operations as needed and approved by the Quality Assurance Director
  • Ensures the traceability of components and products are maintained at every inspection point
  • Organizes, files, and maintains all inspection documents
  • Utilizes all documents contained in the Quality System, such as manufacturing procedures, forms, standard operating procedures, and initiate the submission of inspection reports, as appropriate
  • Participates in internal audits
Required Education and Experience to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required
  • 1-year experience inspecting parts or products is required
  • Previous experience developing ways to improve and promote quality is preferred
  • Must have strong attention to detail and accuracy in work
  • Previous experience working with Microsoft Office products, primarily Word and Excel is highly preferred
  • Must possess effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Must possess strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated dependability and reliable attendance is required
