Summary/Objective: A Manager, Quality Assurance is responsible for developing and implementing plans and programs to assure the products released within the Voting System segment are fit for purpose, consistent and meet internal and external requirements/specifications. This position collaborates across product functions to determine and establish standards and procedures to prevent or eliminate defects in new or existing products. The Manager, Quality Assurance performs specific tasks specialized to the product area assigned.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborates cross functionally to define, implement, document and maintain quality standards, procedures and practices for the products assigned.
  2. Develops planning tools to effectively analyze, evaluate, manage and monitor achievement of quality standards and presents information concerning factors such as business situations, production capabilities, manufacturing issues, economic trends with respect to design and development of products.
  3. Develops, administers effective and efficient testing systems, evaluates test results, and recommends appropriate follow up to assure quality standards for products assigned.
  4. Collaborates with vendor representatives of material and components with respect to vendor and supply quality and ability to fulfill material/component requirements.
  5. Disseminates quality assurance reports across stakeholders to delineate areas of responsibility, resource requirements and operational procedures in order to deliver timely and effective delivery of assigned product(s).
  6. Reviews technical publications, articles and abstracts to stay abreast of technical developments in the industry.
  7. Achieves results by communicating job expectations, planning, coaching, developing and coordinating employees.

Qualifications:

Education: Must have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or similar discipline;

Experience: At least 5 years experience including:

Hands-on experience in software quality assurance environment

Experience with Web Application and API testing

Experience with SQL Database

Experience with testing of desktop applications and hardware preferred

Experience with automated testing of desktop applications and hardware preferred

Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
