RETS has been retained to recruit a Life Science Director of Leasing and Asset Management (West Region) in the SF Bay Area. Our client is one of the largest private owner/operators of life science real estate and has earned an amazing reputation over the last 20+ years. The ideal candidate has experience with pre-leasing of life science product in the Bay Area and understands the complexity of life science product and tenants. The role oversees a major 3rd party brokerage firm handling pre-leasing of two projects totaling 500,000 SF on the Peninsula and has additional Bay Area and San Diego projects in the pipeline. Responsibilities center around building relationships with life science tenants and the CRE life science brokerage community. Dynamic candidates w/ Class A office leasing experience will be considered. Candidates MUST reside in the Bay Area and have intimate knowledge of local submarkets with considerable relationships within the Bay Area CRE brokerage community.
Qualifications:
- 5-10+ years of Life Science or Commercial Office leasing experience in the Bay Area.
- Extensive Bay Area knowledge of submarkets and CRE network - San Diego network / experience is a plus.
- Interest in developing skillset beyond leasing - will include some asset management and oversight of third-party property management.
- Exceptional market-facing skills including communication and presentation skills.
