As a member of the Business Development and Marketing Department, the Marketing Analytics Specialist delivers tracking, analysis and development of essential key performance indicators (KPIs) related to digital marketing and business development initiatives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Coalesce data from multiple sources and utilize reporting & analytical tools to generate detailed performance reports and statistics to identify trends, efficiencies and new opportunities related to the firm’s client development and marketing efforts.
  • Leverage data from a variety of sources (CRM/ERM, email marketing, social media, Google Analytics) and work with cross-functional operations team to create, modify, and distribute standard and ad hoc business performance management reports and dashboards.
  • Work with department leadership and business development team to define measures of success, enable tracking of those metrics and analyze metrics on a monthly basis to identify areas of opportunity and provide actionable insights.
  • Partner with the CRM team with the processes and analytics used to manage the firm’s relationship intelligence including: maintaining data on key firm contacts and companies; creating e-marketing campaigns to targeted mailing lists; reporting on campaign analytics; and managing event list builds, tracking and post-event analysis.
  • Participate in discrete data projects and dashboard development as needed, at the direction of the Director of Business Development and Marketing Operations.
  • Analyze the impact of practice initiatives that drive firm visibility and client opportunities and provide implementable recommendations to managers throughout the Department.

QUALIFICATIONS (EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES):

Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree required. Equivalent work experience will be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
Experience:
  • Two to three years of business analytics experience required. Law firm or professional services experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
  • Background in business analytics and critical thinking is essential.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving mindset with a natural curiosity for how data can impact business strategy and outcomes.
  • Ability to gather, synthesize and report on data from multiple data resources.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with CRM systems, advanced Excel, Power BI and SmartSheet.
  • Google Analytics experience required; Google Analytics 4 Certification preferred.
  • Ability to work independently, adapt to change and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with social media data analytics.


WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Sedentary work: Exertion of physical strength to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects up to 10 pounds. Work involves sitting most of the time. Walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties.

VISUAL ACUITY

Worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
