Skills: Stress analysis, Fea, finite element analysis, Catia v5, Nastran, femap, airframe, composite, Structure, Structural analysis, modeling analysis, aircraft Additional Skills & Qualifications: 5 years minimum in solid composites 10 years minimum in stress engineering 10+ years of total stress engineering experience airframe experience FEMAP Experience Hyper-sizer or Hyper-X Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, with a concentration in a relevant Engineering discipline • Minimum 10 years of applicable experience in the analysis of structural systems using strength of materials and finite element based methods. • Minimum 5 years experience with strong understanding of composites analysis, manufacturing and sizing of composite structures. • Minimum 5 years experience with strong understanding of FEA models, including pre and post processing of NASTRAN models and associated sizing of composite structures. • Minimum 3 years supporting Structural Tests with knowledge and practical experience on FEM/Strain gage data correlation. • Experience with free-body diagrams and classical stress analysis techniques. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills • Excellent computer skills, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint Preferred Skills and Experience • Hands-on experience with composites part fabrication and assembly processes. • Proficiency in FEMAP a plus • Pilot, aircraft homebuilding and rapid prototyping experience a strong plus • Experience with the design of flight vehicles or vehicle systems to a set of requirements or standards such as CFR 14, Part 400, Part 23 and 25, military or NASA are highly desired • Experience with manufacturing-based ERP systems, such as Oracle, is a plus About Actalent Actalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
