Financial Reporting, Accounting and Monthly Close Process 40%

Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, and ensure their accuracy and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Facilitate the month end and year end close processes for G-Con US and consolidated entities including multi-currency adjustment and eliminating journal entries in both IFRS reporting and GAAP reporting.

Oversee and improve financial systems, including accounting software and reporting tools, to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Key leader in new ERP implementation.

Oversee Accounting department including AR, AP, Payroll and expense management. Manage and mentor the accounting and finance team, ensuring their professional growth and adherence to accounting best practices.

Monitor cash flow, oversee banking relationships, and manage working capital to optimize liquidity.

Establish banking relationships and optimize the banking and credit card processes.

Tax and Audit Management 20%

Coordinate and manage the annual external tax and audit process, working closely with external auditors to provide necessary documentation and information.

Budgeting & Forecasting 10%

Collaborate with management to develop and manage the quarterly forecast and annual budget and long-term financial forecasts. Monitor financial performance against budgets and provide insights and recommendations for improvements.

Financial Analysis 10%

Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks. Provide financial insights to aid in strategic decision-making.

Internal Controls 10%

Establish and maintain internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial data. Identify and assess financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.

Compliance 5%

Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards. Stay updated on changes in accounting and tax laws that may impact the organization.

Fixed Asset Management and Planning 5%

Assist in financial planning by evaluating investment opportunities, cost reduction strategies, and capital allocation decisions.

Position Specifications

Qualification Requirements:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. Controller must possess strong leadership and organizational skills, attention to detail, and solid communication abilities. Strong technical accounting skills are critical, particularly expertise with manufacturing accounting and revenue recognition and consolidated financial statements. Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree:

Finance, Accounting or other related discipline

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

CPA preferred

Financial Management Experience

10 years, minimum, preferably in a manufacturing/ construction environment

Advanced

Accounting principles and regulations in a manufacturing environment

Advanced

Analytical and problem-solving skills along with strong leadership and team management skills

Advanced

Proficiency in financial software and tools, and attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

Advanced

Experience with ERP Systems and reporting tools

Advanced

Skilled in Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint. Power Pivot & SQL skillset is a plus

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

Other Skills and Abilities:

· Manufacturing/operations, projects accounting background preferred.

· Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
