As a Media Asset Coordinator, you'll manage the flow of created material so it serves all mediums - videos, photos, articles, social content, and podcasts. You'll work with every corner of Hagerty's media operation and enjoy a variety of duties. The bulk of the work is managing the constantly created video, image, and sound files so they're properly cataloged and available for a variety of uses. One major use is the programming of the Hagerty FAST channel on Samsung TV. There's a creative aspect to this role because you'll use that catalog to assist in media projects and also perform light video and sound editing. This job puts the candidate smack in the middle of Hagerty Media's operation and offers expansive opportunities to experiment in all mediums.

What you'll do:

  • Project managing and delivering required material for the FAST channels. Those bits include the video file, description, proof of music rights, and closed caption files.
  • Work with freelance and internal photographers to secure the photos and catalog them
  • Establish naming conventions and proper tagging rules for asset libraries.
  • Tracking and cataloging the social assets for videos and podcasts. This is making sure that the source material is available to editors, the cuts are delivered on time, and then held in the proper place for use.
  • Over communicate project status and deadlines.
  • Handle photos and video requests from internal partners
  • Assist in scheduling and production of podcasts
  • Share ideas for coverage and how to improve our processes.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned.
  • Potential to edit material into sizzle reels or social cuts as needed

  • Degree in digital arts, graphic design, or similar, or an equivalent combination of experience and skills
  • You geek out over archives, organization structures, and you obsess over details
  • You pride yourself on having the ability to build and maintain organizational structures
  • Forthcoming and active communicator
  • Experience with all digital files
  • Previous experience in digital asset management
  • Interest and appreciation for cars
  • Proficiency in editing software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment with limited supervision.
Other things to note
  • This role can be worked from any U.S. remote location, but candidates in the Metro Detroit area preferred.
  • Familiarity with public company requirements, including Sarbanes Oxley and key regulations, if applicable. For SOX compliant roles, responsible for designing, executing, and documenting internal controls where they have been identified as owners to prevent errors in financial reporting, processes, and business operations. Including attestation to the completeness, accuracy, and compliance of all financial reporting data, where applicable.
