Field Technical Sales Support/ Sales

The Chemico Systems Sales and Service Technician role is responsible to promote and support sales of Chemico Systems products into select markets/customers and providing technical support at customer sites to facilitate effective use of Chemico Systems products. The Chemico Systems products include: Detackification programs, Floor cleaners, Booth Maintenance products, and JanSan materials. The service activities will involve conducting performance evaluations of materials and mechanical processes including testing, analytical evaluation, problem solving, product recommendations, process improvement, development of support documents and reports.
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Provide support and services for existing customer and product lines
- Support sales of Systems products into select markets and customers
- Support on-site training requirements
- Develop chemical procedures and operational parameters
- Manage all chemical systems within documented operational parameters
- Trouble shoot chemical related issues as necessary
- Communication to Business Development Manager and Sales/Service/Site Manager per on site requirements
- Coordinate on and off-site training activities
- Ensure effective chemical application and proper consumption rates as needed
- Identify and implement continuous process improvements
- Work with appropriate site personnel to maintain chemical related equipment
- Research and act on Requests for Service
- Participate on problem solving team
- Manage and/or support paint Detack operations
- Confirm chemical metering equipment functionality to ensure proper dosing of chemicals. Advise appropriate personnel to repair/replace equipment as needed.
- Perform required tests on the Detack system and make necessary changes and/or advise changes in treatment depending on results
- Perform regular inspection of the sludge removal equipment and ensure proper operation.
- Notify appropriate customer personnel of any abnormalities, system problems or out of spec test results.
- Keep accurate records of all testing and sludge removal.
- Makes presentations to internal/external management and personnel, communicating test findings and offering appropriate recommendations on processes (Service Report)
- Performs other duties and assignments as required

- Demonstrates strong analytical and problem identification and resolution skills
- Accepts challenges, identifies needs and is willing to work on new projects
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking in large industrial environment
- Ability to maintain high level of visual attention and mental concentration for significant periods of time
- Prolonged periods of sitting and exposure to computer screens
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Occasional travel required
- Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, engineering or technical discipline and/or equivalent work experience in chemical/industrial environment preferred
- 3-5 years of experience in paint Detack preferred
- Computer proficient with the ability to use Microsoft Office Suite and the internet required
Work Environment:
Ability to handle multiple priorities and demands in a fast paced environment. This job operates in a manufacturing environment. This role requires presence on the manufacturing floor and a significant amount of walking on concrete surfaces. This role also routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and filing cabinets. Ability to work in team fostered environment. Ability to work in multi-tasked environment. Strong personality and focus in fast-paced and demanding environments. Ability to adapt to change quickly and multi-task.
