Responsibilities

The Journeys and Adventures that Await
  • Provide professional clinical leadership, maintain work schedule for nursing department staff, delegate tasks, monitor overtime and adjust schedules accordingly, approve time off requests for medical assistant staff and adjust schedule as needed, provide orientation and training for new MA staff members, assist in annual employee evaluations, coordinate MA staff meetings as needed, delegate nursing task, inventory medical supplies and submit supply orders as needed, monitor budgetary constraints, maintain Duly policy and procedures, doctor/patient liaison, maintain patient confidentiality, assure OSHA/Safety compliance, meet regularly with office manager.
  • Provides supervision over assigned medical assistant staff for the site(s)

Qualifications:
  • Active Medical Assistant certification through one of the following required:
    • American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
    • American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA)
    • American Medical Technologists (AMT)
    • National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
    • National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
  • A Minimum of 3 years of experience in a clinical setting is required
  • At least 1 year of leadership experience is preferred.
