Role Purpose
The role of a KHI Medical Superintendent is crucial for the success of our projects. These professionals serve as the company's onsite representatives, ensuring that employees, subcontractors, material deliveries, and workflow remain on schedule. Superintendents are expected to collaborate with and lead the project team effectively. Additionally, they must excel in client communication and fulfill administrative duties.
Essential Qualities of a KHI Medical Superintendent
KHI Medical Superintendents are expected to be experts in construction practices for all onsite activities and have comprehensive experience managing various aspects of construction projects. Key responsibilities include:
- Demonstrating expertise in best construction practices.
- Reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
- Understanding relevant building codes.
- Communicating plans of action with team members and clients prior to project execution.
- Managing changes in accordance with KHI Medical and healthcare facility standards.
- Providing regular updates to the KHI Medical project manager via email and phone.
- Utilizing online construction management software effectively.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Suite, including MS Project.
- Employing Bluebeam for project documentation.
Qualifications
Education
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a construction superintendent.
- At least 5 years of experience in the construction trade.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Comprehensive knowledge of framing, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and structural systems.
- Ability to read plans, interpret instructions, and adhere to the scope of work.
- Capability to evaluate changes in the scope of work and initiate change orders through the KHI Medical project manager.
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends as necessary to meet project deadlines.
- Physical ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
Proficiency in the following tools:
- Microsoft Suite
- MS Project
- Email communication
- Internet navigation
- Bluebeam software
- PMWEB / Fluid CM / Pro Core platforms
Compensation:
