Management Solutions is seeking a Head of Human Resources who oversees and shapes our organization’s HR and talent acquisition organization to ensure they attract, retain, and develop top talent while maintaining the organization’s strategic objectives, core values, and HR and compliance requirements. This individual will be the functional leader of Management Solutions’ HR and Talent Acquisition functions. The position is a critical member of the senior leadership team driving organizational strategy and cross-functional systems integrations.

The Head of Human Resources will be responsible for the following:

  • Provide oversight and management of Management Solutions’ HR and Talent Acquisition functions.

  • Develop and implement departmental budget.

  • Lead HR team to develop, implement, and execute HR strategies across Management Solutions' portfolio, including administering and overseeing human resource programs including but not limited to: compensation, benefits, and leave; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; employee relations; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; training and development, affirmative action, and compliance.

  • Implement and optimize applicant tracking, HRIS, and other HR and talent acquisition platforms, ensuring automated workflows and data integration across functional business service centers.

  • Plan, lead, develop, coordinate, and implement policies, processes, training initiatives, and surveys to support the organization’s human resource compliance, corporate culture, and strategy needs.

  • Lead Talent Acquisition team to develop, implement, and execute Talent Acquisition strategies across Management Solutions' portfolio.

  • Proactively research and apply current HR best practices, policies, industry trends and employment laws to ensure compliance and competitiveness.

  • Lead workforce planning initiatives.

  • Create guidelines that facilitate internal advancements.

  • Manage firmwide succession planning.

  • Oversee organizational charts and list the duties associated with each position.

  • Oversee and communicate career-pathing choices with team leaders and high-potential personnel.

  • Oversee Management Solutions orientation program for new employees.

  • Serve as hands-on mentor and Supervisor for our HR and Talent Acquisition teams.

  • Facilitate professional development, training, and certification activities for HR staff.

  • Serve on Management Solutions Senior Leadership team; participate in weekly, monthly, and annual strategic planning sessions.

What you will need…

  • Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearances requirements, US citizenship is required.

  • Bachelor's degree and 10 years of HR experience. Experience in lieu of education may be considered.

  • Federal government contracting experience in either DOE or DoD is required.

  • Mature project manager with previous experience managing day-to-day operations in both talent acquisition and HR functions, who is also capable of leading strategic initiatives as Management Solutions continues to scale.

  • Proficient user of MS Office applications (intermediate user of MS Excel and PowerPoint).

  • Basic understanding of PM principles and best practices.

  • Strong analytical/problem resolution skills.

  • Must have excellent verbal/written communication skills and effective interpersonal skills.

  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.

Location:

  • Remote – working hours from 8 am – 5 pm Eastern time zone is required.

  • Occasional travel to the company headquarters in Knoxville, TN and client sites as required.
