Duties and Responsibilities:

We are seeking a talented Survey Technician to join a leading land surveying team in Houston, TX. Your role will be pivotal in supporting our clients' surveying projects, and your responsibilities will encompass:
  • Collaborating with Registered Professional Surveyors to assist in CAD productions, encompassing activities like deed research, boundary analysis, easement preparations, legal descriptions, and the calculation of survey points.
  • Skillfully processing raw field data using Trimble Business Center, ensuring data quality through rigorous QA/QC checks.
  • Coordinating and fostering effective teamwork between field crews and office personnel to streamline project workflows and success.
Required Experience:

To excel in this role, you should have the following qualifications and experience:
  • track record of 1-5 years in a Survey Technician role within the field of land surveying.
  • preference for or active pursuit of an SIT (Surveyor-in-Training) registration.
  • Expertise in ALTA surveys, boundary analysis, topographic surveys, easement document preparation, legal descriptions, and final plat preparation.
  • Proficiency in the operation and maintenance of survey field equipment.
  • strong grasp of Trimble Business Center and Trimble Data Center for precise data processing and analysis.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D for production activities.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, coordinate complex projects, and collaborate effectively with other design services.
  • Full utilization of Microsoft Office tools for documentation and reporting.
  • daptability and the capability to excel in a fast-paced environment, particularly during periods of growth.
  • Outstanding listening, writing, and verbal communication skills to foster effective interactions with both team members and clients.
