As part of this team, you will play a crucial role in the efficient mobilization, deployment, and management of resources during emergency situations to ensure public health and safety. This position requires excellent leadership, coordination, and communication skills to effectively oversee a dynamic team and complex operations on an on-call basis.

We are looking for committed individuals to serve as part of our reservist cadre, ready to be deployed on emergency standby to support the following response teams:

  • State Logistics Resource Center Response Team
  • Rapid Mobilization Response Team
  • Electrical, Generator Installation, and Maintenance Response Team
  • Hydrological Pumps Response Team
  • Emergency Refueling Response Team
  • Construction Response Team
Deployment and Availability:

Ideal candidates for these response missions will be available to deploy within 48 to 72 hours of notification. These are contract positions and, if activated, will likely require travel on short notice, generally lasting from several days to a few weeks and possibly 30 days or more, depending on the disaster response needs.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the mobilization of resources, including personnel, equipment, and supplies.
  • Manage the deployment of teams and resources to affected areas, ensuring timely and efficient response.
  • Oversee the logistical aspects of resource distribution, including transportation, inventory control, and storage.
  • Lead and supervise response teams, providing direction and support.
  • Ensure team members are properly trained and maintain readiness for deployment.
  • Enforce safety protocols and procedures to protect team members and the public.
  • Develop and implement response plans tailored to the specific needs of the disaster situation.
  • Collaborate with other emergency response agencies, government bodies, and utility companies to synchronize efforts.
  • Monitor and track the use of resources, maintaining detailed records and ensuring accountability.
  • Conduct assessments of affected areas to determine resource needs and prioritize response activities.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on the status of operations, resource utilization, and team performance to senior management.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for external partners and stakeholders, ensuring consistent and accurate information sharing.
  • Maintain an inventory of critical supplies and ensure their availability and condition.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Resource Supervisor: Bachelor's degree in emergency management, Logistics, Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Relevant experience may substitute for formal education. Minimum of 4 years of experience in emergency response, disaster recovery logistics, or a related field, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. Relevant position training or certifications.

Resource Technician: Bachelor's degree in emergency management, Logistics, Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or a related field preferred with a minimum of 2 years' experience in emergency response, disaster recovery logistics, or a related field. Relevant position training or certifications.

Skills:
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and logistical planning abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and make critical decisions under pressure.
  • Ability to work long hours in challenging conditions during disaster response operations.
  • Capability to lift and move heavy equipment and materials.
  • Willingness to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
  • Proficiency in using resource management software and tools.
