As a key executive, the VP of Marketing will provide vision and leadership for all marketing-led initiatives, while working with a small team to see that vision implemented.
Our client sees the role of marketing as revenue generating. This growth-enabling position will drive the vision for the overall marketing strategy with a specific focus on ROI measurement and continuous improvement. While owning all of marketing, the primary focus areas include growth marketing, account-based marketing and demand generation.
Reporting to the President, the Vice President of Marketing sets the roadmap and leads the strategic direction of global marketing while achieving business, financial growth and retention goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Accountability for marketing return on investment, creating new customers, improving brand awareness and quality of all communications.
- Utilize sound research principles to understand voice of customer, develop buyers' personas and create messaging that meets buyers at every stage of their journey in the sales process.
- Drive all marketing both online and offline instituting best-in-class demand-generation practices that drive revenue growth globally
- Collaborate with Sales, Product, and Leadership teams to align marketing strategies with business objectives and growth targets.
- Build, manage and mentor a high-performing marketing team, providing leadership, guidance, and professional development opportunities.
- Conceptualize, implement and optimize the marketing/sales strategy funnel using industry best practices for SaaS marketing with a heavy emphasis on measurement and optimization
- Act as senior demand generation expert at the company, creating and institutionalizing best-practice processes, and continuously innovating to build a marketing program the fuels consistent growth.
- Deliver MQLs (marketing qualified leads) to the sales team leveraging all appropriate channels for maximum impact and ROI.
- Experienced in all aspects of nurturing, qualifying, scoring and prioritizing leads that create a path to steady, predictable growth in both number and quality.
- 15+ years of marketing experience with recent and significant experience in setting marketing strategy.
- Minimum 5+ years in a senior leadership role leading marketing for a SaaS company.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful demand-generation programs in a high-growth company environment.
- Well-rounded B2B technology marketing expert with experience leading a team to be more than the sum of its parts.
- Advanced knowledge of best practices in B2B SaaS marketing, digital marketing and global lead generation, with a heavy emphasis on process, measurement and analytics.
- Proven track record of success enabling a sales team.
- Experienced in creating, implementing and refining successful SaaS-based demand generation strategies. Including content marketing, SEO, PPC, email, events and outbound calling.
- Thorough understanding of and experience utilizing marketing automation tools and other technology to support the requirements of the demand generation plan.
- Ability to build strong relationships at all levels of the company, most importantly build a strategic partnership with sales.
