About the RoleAs a BMS Controls Engineer, your mission is to oversee and optimize Building Management Systems (BMS) within our manufacturing facility. Your primary objectives include ensuring BAS design follows AESC requirements, ensuring the efficient operation of facility-related control systems, enhancing energy efficiency, and maintaining a reliable and secure building automation infrastructure. What You Will Do

As a key member of the engineering team, your responsibilities will encompass:

BMS Operation and Optimization:

- Assist local personnel on the day-to-day operation of Building Management Systems (BMS) to ensure optimal performance.

- Implement advanced control strategies and algorithms to enhance energy efficiency and sustainability through BMS controls.

- Conduct regular assessments using data analytics to identify opportunities for system optimization and improvement.

System Integration and Development:

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate BMS with other facility systems, such as Compressed air, Cooling water, HVAC, lighting, security, fire suppression, and manufacturing equipment.

- Participate in the development and implementation of new BMS features and functionalities, including advanced monitoring and predictive maintenance capabilities.

Monitoring and Reporting:

- Establish and maintain advanced monitoring protocols, including real-time analytics and machine learning, to track BMS performance, energy consumption, and predictive maintenance needs.

- Generate detailed and insightful reports on system efficiency, identifying trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.

Vendor and Supplier Management:

- Lead interactions with external suppliers and vendors for BMS equipment, ensuring the procurement of cutting-edge components.

- Collaborate on the installation, integration, commissioning, and maintenance of BMS hardware and software, staying informed about the latest technological advancements in the field.

Regulatory Compliance:

- Stay at the forefront of emerging standards and regulations pertaining to BMS controls, ensuring the facility's compliance.

- Implement advanced features to enhance safety and environmental regulations in BMS operations.

What You Need

- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Controls Engineering, or a related field.

- 5+ years of hands-on experience in the design, implementation, and optimization of Building Management Systems in a manufacturing environment.

- In-depth knowledge of BMS hardware and software, with expertise in advanced control strategies, machine learning applications, and system integration.

- Familiarity with protocols such as BACnet, ModbusTCP, EthernetIP, Profinet, and OPC for seamless communication between BMS and other systems.

- Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in BMS systems, such as Ladder Logic, Function Block Diagram, Structured Text, Sequential Function Chart (SFC), IEC 61131-3 Standard, JSON

- Experience with advanced diagnostic tools, data analytics platforms, and machine learning algorithms for predictive maintenance and anomaly detection.

- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices related to BMS security.

- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Experience with Siemens and Ignition is a plus
