Position Summary

Job Title: Automation Engineer II

Reports To: Director of Connected Factory

Career Level: Technical Contributor

Key Objectives:

  • Design, budget, and supervise the installation of engineered control systems for capital projects and ongoing improvement initiatives.
  • Provide technical assistance in troubleshooting electrical issues and enhancing Connected Enterprise platforms.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ensure workplace safety and security at project sites.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in ladder logic and various PLC programming languages.
  • Oversee projects, including budgeting, design, and installation phases.
  • Enhance PLC, HMI, and SCADA applications to improve manufacturing efficiency.
  • Identify and resolve performance challenges within Connected Enterprise platforms.
  • Lead research and the implementation of innovative manufacturing techniques and equipment.
  • Develop and maintain instrumentation and control systems.
  • Assist in the setup and commissioning of control systems and provide training to team members.

Qualifications and Skills

Essential:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient in Siemens TIA Portal and Rockwell PLC Programming.
  • Willingness to travel domestically up to 25%.
  • Work Environment: In Office/On Site (4+ days a week).
