Job Summary

Assists Engineers in carrying out production-related and inspection jobs; assists in monitoring materials quality in processing plants and making the required adjustments; maintains and supports documentation and records. Works under moderate supervision.

Key Responsibilities

Compares the physical characteristics of components, materials, equipment and products to technical specifications to identify defects. Conducts simple tests (for example on electrical function, reliability, packaging quality). Records results and prepares simple technical reports. Provides product and component testing using a range of measurement equipment. Assists customers in understanding/interpreting product specifications and application of measurement data. Participates in measurement uncertainty studies for measurements associated with measurement or calibration results. Ensures proper maintenance and calibration of the measurement and test equipment.

Requirements

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Master the Basics : Ensure you have a strong understanding of quality control principles, tools, and techniques relevant to your industry.
  • Stay Organized : Keep meticulous records and documentation to track quality metrics and identify trends or recurring issues.
  • Be Proactive : Anticipate potential quality issues and address them before they escalate, demonstrating initiative and foresight.
  • Collaborate Effectively : Work closely with other departments, such as production and engineering, to ensure quality standards are integrated throughout the entire process.
Qualifications

Perform inspection of PPAP samples and create PPAP documentation to schedules.

Experience with Excel in creating documentation.
