We are looking for a Business Development Manager to work for our Show and Event Services Department. The selected candidate will be working out of the San Antonio Area

Job Summary for Business Development Manager:

The Business Development Manager candidate will cultivate existing client relationships, plan upcoming client events, maintain an active industry presence in target markets, and aggressively pursue and develop new client leads.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities for The Business Development Manager

  • Develop Prospective Clients
    • Generate leads, pursue opportunities, and win new Show Services business
    • Encourage a cordial, amiable course of conversation with prospective customers to establish a personal relationship.
    • Maintain electronic and print materials for distribution to prospects as needed.
    • Facilitate the collection of essential prospect data for present or future use.
    • Liaise with relevant staff in proposal development for the generated leads and monitor success metrics in closing business
  • Cultivate Existing Clients
    • Manage client relationships strategically resulting in repeat business and winning a growing share of their business year over year
    • Improve customer experience and continuously strengthen client relationships
    • Identify customers' needs, establish trust; set revenue targets, and develop custom solutions, based on the competitive landscape challenges involved.
    • Collaborate with Finance and VP of Business Development to ensure contract execution and renewal adjustments
  • Foster Industry Presence in Target Markets
    • Understand business operations, including specific sales opportunities, our competitive landscape, and technology trends.
    • Maintain relevant documents and information itemizing calls, emails, and contact history.
    • Travel locally and nationally to meet potential and existing clients.
    • Maintain an active role in relevant industry associations as needed
    • Support the VP of Business Development in all matters
Skills/Qualifications and The Business Development Manager
  • Self-motivation, seeking to participate in the support of lead generation and client retention.
  • Professional hunger to seek and win new business and out-perform competitors in the market
  • Agility to function under flexible working conditions.
  • Perseverance to face and overcome challenges experienced in the course of work.
  • Strong verbal and written proficiency.
  • Ability to use online resources for research and lead generation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, ability to learn other digital tools as required.
  • Strict adherence and a keen understanding of the importance of confidentiality in our industry
  • Ability to maintain the utmost professionalism while representing the company in the market.
  • Strong attention to detail.
Education and Experience:
  • Degree in applicable field or similar.
  • At least 3-5 years of work experience in lead generation authority or research.
