Principal Engineer, Renewable Energy
The AES Integrated EPC team focuses on technically connecting the growing global renewables' business. Among other areas the team's mandates are primarily achieved through facilitating and maintaining technical standards enabling and publicizing key technical groups, and aiding in the processing of key lessons learned from throughout the project life cycle. Currently a role is open to focus on the fielding, management, and completion of"Lessons Learned."
Responsibilities:Use project management software to supervise the initiations through completion of LL-
Set accurate goals and schedule with the "solution owners" of the Lessons Learned (LL).
Take clear notes as you contact to the LL reporter and potential solution owners around the company.
Report updates to IEPC during weekly call- e.g., Monday.
Report Lessons Learned progress to Sr. LL Advisors once a week - e.g., Thursday.
Skills/Qualifications:Project management trained for achieving task on time, budget, and to quality standards (with a focus on internal operational process-improvements tasks)
Must understand E, P, and C, and the O (operations), and the D (development) responsibilities for the full cycle in energy projects business.
Commercial and business minded engineer.
5-10 years renewable energy proven experience.
Crucial skills include: tact and management of non-direct reports at levels senior and junior to this position; a subtle, connector of people, ideas, and materials.
Bachelor's degree in engineering.
Masters or equivalent experience in engineering and/or MBA or equivalent experience will be helpful.
Project Management Professional certification would be beneficial.
Renewables Engineering experience- preferably experience with all renewables- if experience has been only with one technology (wind, solar, or storage) must have familiarity with and interest to learn from others.
Technically capable with SharePoint, Box.com, MS Teams, OneDrive, and metadata.
Willingness and ability to travel up to 5%.

The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements such as annual bonus, in addition to a full range of medical, dental, vision, life, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.
