About the Role

Fuse Energy is seeking a highly experienced and motivated individual to lead our development team as US Head of Renewable Energy Development in the NYISO region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive the growth of Fuse Energy by developing and acquiring new solar, wind, and energy storage projects in the NYISO region.
  • Lead market analysis, negotiate land agreements, manage the interconnection process & permitting, and assess project viability.
  • Evaluate potential project acquisitions and strategic partnering opportunities.
  • Represent Fuse Energy's vision and mission to regulatory agencies, government funding bodies, and local planning authorities to secure approvals and funding for Fuse Energy's renewable energy projects.
  • Identify and deliver available grants, subsidies, and other sources of funding across federal, state, and local bodies.
  • Investigate and facilitate acquisitions that align with company objectives.
  • Proactively identify, approach, and collaborate with potential partners, including energy project developers, investors, trading counterparties, and other stakeholders to drive mutual growth and achieve our strategic objectives.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in leading development initiatives within the renewable energy sector.
  • Experience with community solar projects is preferred.
  • Strong negotiation skills and expertise in land agreements.
  • Knowledge of environmental assessment processes and project permitting.
  • Familiarity with subsidies and other financial incentives for renewable energy projects.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in project budgeting and financial viability assessments.
