YOUR MISSION

We are currently searching for a Senior Vice President, Marketing based in Somerville, MA, USA (Hybrid Role) to lead our Marketing Teams in both the US & Canada. The Senior Vice President, Marketing is responsible for providing leadership and strategic guidance across all elements of the Marketing organization in order to drive profitable growth and build brand equity. This individual will ensure Marketing strategies are aligned by distribution channel and seamlessly integrate with global brand initiatives to create a competitive advantage. The Senior Vice President Marketing reports directly to the PUMA North America President & CEO and has 7 senior level Marketing direct reports.
  • Proactively identify, develop and drive longer-term marketing strategies for North America business channels in collaboration with the North America Leadership team and Global Marketing team that will result in increased visibility, profitable growth and is tied to regional business objectives.
  • Participate as a fully integrated member of both the Global Marketing Leadership Team and the PUMA North America Senior Leadership Team
  • Act as the most influential voice in translating the global brand vision and PUMA DNA into commercially relevant, high engagement regional marketing activations for North America.
  • Drive commercial success by elevating and enhancing the overall customer experience across all marketing channels, and creating aspirational, brand right consumer touchpoints across the entire consumer journey
  • Participate in global campaign planning, providing regional specific insights early on and cascading down global direction into regionally relevant programs and strategies, localizing global campaigns to ensure relevance in execution
  • Responsible for the implementation of seasonal regional marketing campaigns and plans to promote or sell the brand in and through in partnership with our wholesale account partners and owned and operated channel.
  • Be an active, integrated part of key departments (sales, merchandising, retail, planning, operations) to ensure proper delivery of marketing support to meet their departmental needs. Have deep understanding of business objectives as well as key products and account customer bases.
  • Determine budget allocation across all marketing channels to meet brand engagement objectives and drive commercial performance
  • Drive integration and strategy of all marketing channels including Media, PR, Social, Influencers, Performance Marketing (SEM, SEO, Paid), CRM, Email, Partnerships, Activations, Sponsorships, Trade Marketing and local creative
  • Establish, drive and maintain direct relationships with leading retailers and drive collaborative strategies to grow the PUMA brand and business
  • Develop, coach and create successful teams and talent that foster a productive, inspirational and creative environment for the entire department.
YOUR TALENT
  • 20+ years of experience in brand and marketing strategy with a proven track record in driving customer demand and revenue growth
  • 10+ years in Senior Marketing Management roles managing successful teams
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or similar field required
  • Up to 40% travel domestic and international
  • Experience with major elements of the marketing mix is required
  • Profound Expertise in leveraging, influencing, navigating, and building marketing plans and partnerships across internal and external teams to drive business
  • Strong Expertise in Digital Marketing
  • Innovative and visionary; can rally diverse stakeholders around a common vision
  • Proven leadership in a global/matrixed business environment
  • Strategic thinker with a results-driven mindset and a passion for pushing creative boundaries
  • Expertise managing large budgets
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
  • Exceptional presentation, project management, and communication skills. Is aware of the communication requirements of internal and external business situations and delivers clear and compelling messages, even in challenging situations
