YOUR MISSION:
Overview
As a key leader, you will establish and propel the strategic vision to oversee and manage the growth of the Alternative Specialty, Digital & Premium Department Store channel business across the United States.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement Wholesale Brand Strategies for major retail partners.
2. Utilize expert knowledge to analyze account insights and identify opportunities for competitive advantage.
3. Oversee PUMA North America's business across footwear, apparel, and accessories.
4. Set and manage distribution and segmentation guidelines, ensuring excellence in-store through effective assortment, visuals, and marketing materials.
5. Engage in extensive travel to key retail partners to ensure the successful execution of PUMA's Brand Strategy in footwear and apparel.
6. Establish and monitor KPIs for your area of responsibility.
7. Formulate financial plans and strategies to capitalize on new business opportunities, including sales forecasting and margin analysis.
8. Lead, recruit, and nurture a high-performing sales team, creating development and succession plans for all team members.
9. Understand and navigate internal financial processes, including planning, forecasting, and P&L management.
10. Collaborate with cross-departmental teams to provide insights on business trends and product development.
11. Present new product lines at national account meetings and sales meetings, engaging with senior management both internally and externally.
12. Direct the Channel Seasonal Forecast process, managing marketing direction to achieve annual sales and profit objectives.
13. Work closely with Product Merchandising and Marketing to introduce new products to the market seasonally.
14. Partner with a dedicated Business Planner to manage the channel's business from both internal and external perspectives.
15. Maintain relationships with key retail partners at the Vice President level and above.
YOUR TALENT:
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Over 10 years of leadership experience in sales within a top-tier international fashion or sports organization, or management experience in a buying/merchandising context.
- Preferred experience in the Footwear & Apparel sector.
- Willingness to travel extensively throughout the U.S. market.
- Strong knowledge of the channel customer base.
- Proficient in retail mathematics and possess strong analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and listening abilities.
- Proven team-building and leadership skills, with a focus on clear expectations and providing necessary tools for execution.
- Ability to effectively present category knowledge using PowerPoint and spreadsheet software.
The compensation for this position includes a competitive base salary along with bonus opportunities and benefits.
