Prepares vehicles to be moved to shipping points and for shipment. Ensures vehicles in storage are appropriately maintained.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Ability to work/drive safely and follow policies and procedures

  • Perform job duties in a safe and responsible manner
  • Follow all safety practices, policies and procedures
  • Regularly scans all vehicles in inventory using a scanner to ensure accuracy of count and location.
  • Locates vehicles to be shipped and prepares for shipping by hanging labels, routing, or other activities as required.
  • Act as a liaison between company and haul away truck carriers. Looks at units being unloaded from trucks to determine if there is any damage from shipping
  • Conducts regular vehicle maintenance, including checking for damage, checking batteries, adding gasoline, changing tires, and replacing PGF wrap as required.
  • Purchases units to place in inventory for shipment.
  • Conducts load processing activities by taking a work order to a vehicle, routing the vehicle to the appropriate shipping point, and raising wipers to indicate vehicle should be moved.
  • May perform all duties and responsibilities of a vehicle processor, including driving a van.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

WHAT YOU'LL NEED
  • Must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record.
  • Must be able to operate vehicles with automatic transmissions. (Manual transmission is recommended but not required).
  • Must possess strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions.
  • Must be able to work overtime hours with little or no notice as required by production demands
  • Must be able to communicate work instructions with others using basic high school vocabulary
  • Must be able to read and interpret work orders and Standard Operating Sheets
  • Must be able to drive vehicles at night/after dark
  • Must be able to follow specific work procedures and supervisor's or lead person's directions
  • Must be capable of wearing all protective equipment as required
  • Must be able to work alone/without direct supervision as required
