Gojob is hiring a Vehicle Processing Specialist for a car manufacturing company in Smyrna, TN. You will be responsible for preparing vehicles to be moved to shipping points for shipment and ensuring vehicles in storage are maintained. Overtime is currently mandatory (up to 10 to 20 hours a week).

Shift & Pay:

  • 1st Shift: Mon-Fri, 7am-3:30pm - $16.50/hr
  • 2nd Shift: Mon-Fri, 2:30pm-11pm - $17.50/hr
  • 3rd Shift: Sun-Thur, 8:30pm-7am - $19/hr

Responsibilities:

  • Regularly scans all vehicles in inventory using PFT scanner to ensure accuracy of count and location.
  • Locates vehicles to be shipped and prepares for shipping by hanging labels, routing, or other activities as required.
  • Looks at units being unloaded from trucks to determine if there is any damage from shipping
  • Conducts regular vehicle maintenance, including checking for damage, checking batteries, installing sun protection, adding gasoline, changing tires, and replacing PGF wrap as required.
  • Conducts load processing activities by taking a work order to a vehicle, routing the vehicle to the appropriate shipping point, and raising wipers to indicate vehicle should be moved.

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to work outdoors year round regardless of extreme temperatures or poor weather conditions
  • Must have a valid Drivers License
  • Must be able to drive vehicles with either a manual or automatic transmission at night/after dark
  • Must be able to work overtime hours with little or no notice
  • Must be able to read and interpret work orders and Standard Operating Sheets
  • Must be able to stand and walk on concrete/asphalt surfaces for extended periods and climb stairs
  • Must be able to bend and flex in order to get in and out of vehicles
  • Must be capable of wearing all protective equipment as required
  • Must be able to work alone/without direct supervision as required
  • Requires certification in VEP (Vehicle Evaluation Program) and as a Vehicle Processor
