Hoyleton Youth and Family Services is currently seeking a dedicated individual to fulfill the role of full-time Crisis Intervention Counselor at our Fairview Heights, IL location. WHAT'S YOUR DAY LIKE?

As a Crisis Intervention Counselor, your primary responsibility will entail immediate response to behavioral health crises. This will involve conducting thorough on-site assessments to discern the needs of individuals in crisis and facilitating access to appropriate care. Collaboration within a multidisciplinary team framework will be essential as you work to address the needs of those experiencing crises. Additionally, you will provide brief therapeutic interventions and follow-up support to individuals engaged with our Mobile Crisis Response Team. Ensuring accurate and timely documentation, including screenings, assessments, and other clinical documentation, while adhering to regulatory standards, will be paramount. Furthermore, you will assist clients in transitioning to alternate levels of service and facilitate connections with pertinent community resources. Collaboration across departments will be integral as well

WHAT'S NEEDED FROM A CRISIS INTERVENTION COUNSELOR?

We're looking for someone who can work a full-time position with flexible scheduling options while meeting the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related human service field
  • A valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional engagement skills
  • Willingness and ability to be flexible with your schedule as needed
  • Ability to provide diagnostic, preventive, or therapeutic services
