HOW DO YOU MAKE A DIFFERENCE?

As our full-time Mental Health Therapist - Counselor, you will be at the forefront of providing essential mental health services and advocacy for families within and outside our agency. Your days will be dynamic and impactful, involving evidence-based practices to deliver individual and group therapy to children, adults, couples, and families in both office and community settings. You'll conduct comprehensive bio-psycho-social assessments, develop personalized treatment goals in collaboration with clients and their guardians, and participate in clinical case staffing to ensure holistic care. Crisis intervention will be a key component of your role, as will your work with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate services that support clients' mental health and stability. Additionally, you'll manage billing for self-pay and insured clients, participate in utilization reviews (URs) to meet insurance and Medicaid requirements, and maintain meticulous documentation. WHAT'S NEEDED?

We're looking for a Mental Health Therapist - Counselor who can meet the following qualifications:

  • Master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or another related human services field
  • Knowledge about evidence-based practices and a variety of treatment modalities used with the population we serve
  • Understanding and appreciation of multiculturalism
  • Ability and willingness to complete the children and residential experiences (CARE) and therapeutic crisis intervention (TCI) training
  • Valid driver's license and proof of insurance

A licensed clinical social work (LCSW) or licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC) is preferred but multiple factors will be taken into consideration.
