Essential Functions: Leads the tax planning function and drives initiates that ensure a tax efficient operating model Key decision maker as part of the tax leadership team Coordinates with external advisors to evaluate the Company’s legal entity structure and recommends tax efficient improvements Works with business operations leaders and corporate colleagues to implement tax planning and legal entity rationalization strategies Consults on Company merger and acquisition activities, including integration from a tax perspective Works on with transfer pricing strategies and analyses Assists Treasury colleagues with developing and implementing tax efficient repatriation strategies Assists in devising tax government audit strategies Coordinates with colleagues in Finance and IT to streamline and improve processes Assists with special projects as requested by senior management Provides tax technical guidance to tax operating team including but not limited to US international tax, worldwide tax reporting, and provision issues Recommends tax strategies and tax positions by applying strong research skills Effectively communicates strategies and progress to senior management Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reads professional publications, maintains personal networks, and participates in professional organizations Adheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies Ensures Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role Represents the company in a professional manner and uphold the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions. Qualifications: Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a similar field Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills and a pragmatic, can do attitude Excellent communications and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain complex tax concepts in a clear and concise manner 10-15 years of multinational corporate income tax experience, either in public accounting or in-house corporate tax department, US domestic and international tax, M&A and/or Transfer Pricing knowledge is required, worldwide and/or state & local tax knowledge is a plus Well organized, detail oriented and team player capable of working in a deadline-oriented environment Strong functional knowledge of MS Excel Strong communication skills CPA or JD, Masters in Tax a plus Physical Demands: The physical demands listed here are representative of those that must be met by and employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
