Focus: The Vice President Human Resources has responsibility for leading the Human Resources function across Olin's chemicals business. This includes the NAA HR team as well as the global HR teams in EMEAI, LAA and APAC.

This position reports to the CHRO and is a key member of the Corporate HR leadership team and a strategic HR business partner to the business presidents and other key leaders across the chemicals business.

This individual is responsible for providing leadership and guidance to the chemicals organization's HR operations. This includes setting, enforcing and evaluating legally compliant HR policies and best practices and identifying and implementing long range strategic HR plans.


Vice President Human Resources Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute HR strategies that support the organization's overall business objectives.
  • Provide strategic direction, leadership and support to senior management on workforce planning and organizational plans and structure.
  • Provide guidance, coaching and counseling to leaders on employee issues.
  • Lead the talent review process for the chemicals business, to include identification of critical talent, succession planning and ongoing employee development.
  • Develop HR staff; assess performance, build skills and competencies, and support professional development to ensure that a robust talent and succession bench is in place for the HR function.
  • Role model Olin's values in support of Olin's lifting people culture; sponsor employee networks, serve as a mentor and provide leadership for Olin's diversity and inclusion initiatives.
  • Guide and support HR business partners on employee/labor relations and works councils issues.
  • Advise and consult in collective bargaining strategies and negotiations.
  • Ensure that the HR function is knowledgeable on market trends and changes in HR technology and strategy on a global basis.
  • Lead M&A due diligence activities as projects develop and then be prepared to lead integration processes.
Vice President Human Resources Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree* in Human Resources or another related field in business administration
  • 15 years of relevant human resources experience with 7 years in a managerial role
  • Public company and chemicals industry experience preferred
  • Up to 25-30% travel
  • Strong knowledge of HR-related state and federal regulations and total rewards programs
  • Strong knowledge and capability using HCM systems, Workday preferably
  • Ability to analyze data, summarize, draw conclusions and offer solutions and recommendations
  • Must be adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Must demonstrate strong, engaging and approachable leadership style and ability to motivate global team of professionals
  • Must be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) and possess a valid US Driver's license
