Your Role and Responsibilities
As an Application Database Administrator, you will have expertise in one or more relational and non-relational data management-based software product areas. Examples include mainstream data management software, such as those from IBM and Oracle. Typical examples of the deliverables are building proof-of-concept solutions with data management technology and architecting data management solutions to address client requirements.

Application DBAs primarily apply their technical skills in client facing, billable services and implementation environment leading technical support or the business processes.

Our latest project involves enabling the transformation and global expansion of an industry-leading client in the hospitality industry, where we’re redefining the customer experience through our powerful enterprise cloud platform and innovative digital services.

Your primary responsibilities include:
  • Designing, developing, and supporting applications using products like Oracle, MS SQL Server, DB2 and Teradata
  • Installation and configuration of Databases, back up, restoring databases, setting up High Availability, Disaster recovery, performance tuning, RAC administration etc.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Ideally 6+ years' experience, but we value diverse paths to gaining skills and knowledge
  • Willingness to work in US shift - Monday to Friday, from 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM
  • Expertise in database management systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server) with strong skills in performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience supporting applications through SQL scripting, stored procedures, and collaboration with development teams.
  • Proficiency in backup and recovery, database security, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Ability to monitor and automate maintenance tasks using tools like OEM or custom scripts.
  • Knowledge of database design, including data modeling, schema design, and partitioning.
  • Familiarity with version control and CI/CD pipelines for managing database schema changes.
