Job Description IT Data Center Facilities Support 3890 Theurer Blvd, Winona, MN 55987 HEADB Full-time Shift(s): MON TUE WED THU FRI 7:00am - 3:00pm Position works 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday, plus participation in a 24-hour, 7-day a week on-call schedule, scheduled maintenance activities may occur after-hours. OVERVIEW: Working as Full-time IT Data Center Facilities Support, you will be responsible for maintenance of the mechanical and electrical infrastructure for our Data Center facilities. RESPONSIBILITIES: The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: oMaintain electrical power distribution systems, generators, CRAC units, fire suppression systems, leak detection systems and uninterruptible power systems oMonitor HVAC systems to assure proper data center temperature and humidity levels oEnsure all data center assets are properly entered into DCIM (Data Center Infrastructure Management) oCoordinate with third-party support vendors during scheduled onsite preventive maintenance activities, and validate completeness of work efforts oGenerate regular reports and reviews of facility related budgets, finances, contracts, expenditures, and purchases oPrepare plans for development and installation of systems/components within the data center according to present and future requirements oWhile performing this job, the employee may be required to frequently stand; walk; use hands, and lift items up to 75 pounds REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: The following skills and qualifications are required for this position: o Demonstrate knowledge of facilities management software systems used in monitoring, managing, and optimizing the operations of a data center o Self-motivated, self-confident team player o Strong communication, interpersonal, technical, problem solving, and leadership skills o Prioritize multiple tasks while effectively managing time and resources o Energetic and positive team player o Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork o Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 75lbs o Pass the required drug screen and background check (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico, and Guam ONLY) PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: o Working knowledge of electrical, fire and mechanical systems o Ability to analyze and interpret engineering drawings and specifications o Advanced computer and application knowledge (i.e. Visio, Microsoft Office Suite) o Knowledge of networking for cabling is an advantage ABOUT US: Since 1967 Fastenal has grown as a distributor of industrial and construction supplies from a single branch to a Fortune 500 company with over 3,000 servicing locations, each providing tailored local inventory and personal service for our customers.
