In the role of Facilities/Maintenance Manager, you will play a pivotal role within our organization. This position involves overseeing and coordinating the efforts of personnel responsible for the upkeep and repair of building structures and grounds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Directly supervise all personnel within the Maintenance Department, ensuring adherence to organizational policies and legal regulations.
  • Responsibilities include recruiting, training, and evaluating employees; planning and assigning tasks; assessing performance; and addressing employee concerns.
  • Prioritize safety by adhering to all plant and corporate safety standards and protocols.
  • Report safety issues to management and set a standard for safety compliance among team members.
  • Oversee lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and ensure compliance.
  • Collaborate with team members to execute maintenance tasks for renowned brands.
  • Guide workers in machine repairs, electrical, and mechanical tasks.
  • Coordinate with external maintenance and equipment specialists for troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Establish and maintain a robust preventative maintenance program.
  • Manage procurement of tools, equipment, and supplies.
  • Provide training for all maintenance staff.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
  • Analyze production schedules and estimate labor requirements for job completion.
  • Communicate company policies to staff and enforce safety regulations.
  • Adjust work procedures to align with production schedules.
  • Recommend improvements in working conditions and equipment usage to enhance efficiency.
  • Address and resolve work-related issues or assist employees in problem-solving.
  • Propose strategies to motivate team members to achieve objectives.
  • Maintain accurate records of time and production.
  • Collaborate with other supervisors to synchronize departmental activities.
  • Perform tasks of supervised workers as needed.
  • Implement a reliability-centered approach, including Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).
  • Emphasize Lean methodologies (Operations Excellence, Six Sigma is a plus).
  • Possess knowledge in site IT/telecom support.
  • Ensure compliance with waste management programs and OSHA & DHEC regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or 5 to 8 years of relevant experience and/or training; or a combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Capable of writing routine reports and correspondence.
  • Effective communication skills for addressing groups of customers or employees.
  • Strong mathematical skills for calculating figures and amounts, including discounts, interest, and percentages.
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, reach, stoop, kneel, and talk or hear. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
