Position: Director of Talent Acquisition

Reporting to: Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO)

Location: Bentonville, AR (Onsite)

Art and Wellness Enterprises (AWE) is seeking a skilled, highly motivated, and entrepreneurial individual to join the team as Director of Talent Acquisition. AWE supports operating non-profits founded by AliceWalton including the Alice L. Walton Foundation, Alice L. Walton School of Medicine, Art Bridges, Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, the Momentary, and Heartland Whole Health Institute.

About the Position

The Director of Talent Acquisition will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy to support the company's growth objectives. This role will oversee all aspects of the recruitment process, from sourcing and attracting candidates to managing the hiring process, ensuring a seamless candidate, and hiring manager experience. In this role, you will oversee all recruiting staff and programs. The ideal candidate will possess a strategic mindset, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for building high-performing teams.

What you will do

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic talent acquisition plan aligned with the company's goals and objectives
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to understand hiring needs and proactively identify talent gaps
  • Implement best practices and innovative recruitment strategies to attract diverse candidates and enhance the employer brand
  • Lead and develop a team of highly skilled recruiting and support staff who manage full lifecycle recruiting
  • Manage and identify internal talent, creating pipelines and managing an internal skills inventory
  • Provide recruiting strategies and implement tactical plans for the organization that increase effectiveness, build diversity, and enhance bench strength
  • Manage the recruitment function within Workday, ensuring efficient utilization of the system and providing support and training to users as needed
  • Drive process improvements to streamline the recruitment process and enhance efficiency and effectiveness
  • Manage high-level requisitions when needed, including executive and specialized positions, ensuring a seamless and efficient recruitment process.
  • Utilize data and analytics to track key recruitment metrics and provide insights to inform decision-making
  • Manage vendors and third-party relationships, acting as a representative of AWE
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations throughout the recruitment process
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications required for your success

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field preferred
  • 8+ years of experience in talent acquisition or recruitment, with 4 years in a leadership role
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful talent acquisition strategies in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve results.
  • Strong business acumen with contract negotiation, budget management and data analysis
  • Interpersonal and communication skills to engage with candidates and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple open positions simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems (ATS). Workday experience preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Zoom and LinkedIn Recruiter
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, remaining adaptable and resilient

  • Physical demands: Position requires utilizing a computer and telephone for prolonged periods of time, good eye/hand coordination, verbal, and written conversation with others, and lifting/carrying up to 10 lbs.
  • Work environment: Work will be performed in an office environment full-time (Monday-Friday, 8AM-5PM.) The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. Flexibility in working hours, including weekends and evenings, may be necessary to support operational needs.
