General Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Systems Administrator/Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team.  This position is primarily on-site.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure to ensure our services are delivered efficiently, securely, and reliably. This person will work closely with our development and operations teams to optimize the cloud environment and support the growth of our business.

Essential Job Functions include the following:

  • Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure using industry-standard best practices.
  • Ability to configure, install, and maintain hardware and software for VMWare environment, Windows 10 desktops/laptops, and peripherals
  • Knowledge of MS Office 2016, internet browsers, LAN/WAN networking, enterprise WiFi, VMWare, storage technologies
  • Perform tasks related to storage provisioning and host integration.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and implement solutions related to storage technical problems.
  • Implement data storage management guidelines, policies, standards, procedures, and other documentation.
  • Propose a highly available storage and backup environment to eliminate single points of failure.
  • Develop automation scripts to improve the deployment and management of cloud resources.
  • Ensure the security and compliance of cloud environments, including data protection and privacy
  • Monitor and analyze cloud infrastructure performance to identify and resolve issues proactively.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize cloud-based applications for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Participate in the design and implementation of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
  • Provide daily, weekly, and monthly monitoring while delivering trackable reports
  • Identify areas for change or enhancement to improve quality efficiency, and continually evaluate and improve existing and new services
  • Utilize monitoring tools to detect and report application, network, and security issues
  • Participate in user support as needed
  • Develop long-term, cross-discipline strategies and roadmaps for implementing retention, data security classification, access control and collaboration for unstructured and semi-structured data in M365.
  • Other special projects and/or duties as assigned by the IT Director Operations and/or Managing Partner

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in professional services 
  • Relevant cloud certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Architect.
  • Additional certifications in related technologies such as DevOps, automation, and networking are a plus.
