This is a full-time 40 hour a week position. Note: This is a hybrid position.

THE POSITION:

Under the Supervision of the Client Care Services Manager, the Client Care Financial Specialists are responsible for assisting the veterinary staff with the collection and application of patient payments related to services rendered or scheduled at Angell Animal Medical Center. The CC Financial Specialists work collaboratively across several departments including but not limited to, Accounts Receivable, Front Office, Clinic, Specialty Services, Inpatient Services and Emergency Services and with external partners such as Forget-me-Not, Care Credit, Trupanion, and other Pet Insurance organizations.

Some of the duties include:

  • Collect estimate payments for patients being dropped off for services being rendered at the hospital.
  • Assist clients with financial aid application process and communication approval or denial.
  • Assist clients with Care Credit applications and posting Care Credit payments that are submitted electronically.
  • Collaborate with Trupanion regarding pre-approvals for services and post any Trupanion payments to Client Accounts.
  • Communicate with clients to confirm final arrangements wishes and ensure that proper payment is collected and applied to the patient account.
  • Communicate with clients related to any add-on payments after admission.

APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS:

We are looking for applicants with at least one year of experience working in an administrative role within a hospital or financial institution. As this position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, we require applicants to include a cover letter showcasing your writing skills.
